Passing Of Jay Decker

Dear Alums,

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that Jay Decker passed away on Feb 7.  He slipped on the ice while walking, and suffered a severe head injury.  I am sure almost all of you were friends with Jay, and we will miss him dearly.  I have many memories of hikes and photography adventures with Jay, and he was always imparting his wisdom with a smile.  He also had been teaching in our technique course for many years, and played the biggest role in teaching our students how to trim models to ABO standards, as well as  soldering for the wire sculptures.

Please support Cathy, Jay Jr and Amy during this difficult time, and let them know how much Jay meant to each of you.  I will send info about his memorial when it is available.

Sincerely,

Greg

He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed many hobbies, including photography and dancing. Unfortunately, I did not receive information about his memorial until today.
